Moananui - Porangahau
A self contained cottage within the grounds of a working farm. Moananui is located about 1 hours drive from Waipukurau. Activities include guided bush walk, marae visit, flax demonstrations, oppossum hunting at night with fox terriers, paua or crayfish fishing (weather permitting), Te Angiangi Marine Reserve close by, wool spinning, native bird breeding area, Department of Conservation 60 acre reserve - a rare remnant of coastal forest on the farm, century old country hotel atmosphere with top class dining in the village owned by the family and the home of the longest place name in the world.
